The Durham Community Chorale continues to be a vibrant and inclusive musical group based in Durham, North Carolina. Known for its dedication to fostering a love of choral music, the Chorale brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for singing and community engagement.
The Chorale's mission is to promote the joy of choral music by performing, educating, and showcasing local talent. With a repertoire that spans classical, gospel, contemporary, and popular genres, the group aims to appeal to a wide audience while maintaining musical excellence. Their performances not only entertain but also enlighten, offering audiences a chance to experience the rich history and variety of choral music.
The Chorale hosts two major concerts each year, one in December and another in May. The Chorale’s smaller ensemble, DCC12 performs at various venues, bringing music to civic events and more.
The Chorale thrives on the support of its members and the community and through its concerts, the Chorale supports charitable causes, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community.

Subgroup
