The Durham Community Chorale under the direction of Melody Zentner is currently accepting voice placement applications for the 2019-20 season. We are looking for vocalists who are ready to come to rehearsal fully prepared (notes and rhythms learned), can memorize music, a willingness to sing in multiple languages, and who enjoy a highly interactive process, which includes taking personal direction from the Artistic Director. Singers are chosen on the basis of individual sound quality, potential blend with other candidates, musicianship, preparation skills, and one’s ability to take direction. Experience in ensemble singing is essential.
